we must fight to end injustice
listen and see the ever-growing crisis
we face. Worsening, deepening, each day
bigotry, racism, sexism, these can’t stay
past another lifetime, hell to pay.
Homophobia, xenophobia, other-phobia, we’re all alike
in multitudinous ways, per 101 Psych.
Filled to overflowing, enough is enough.
Anyone pretending otherwise, call their bluff.

Hi Belinda!

Very cool poem.

What have I had enough of? Hmmmmm Well, I have had enough of selfishness. It seems that so many fail to realize that there are a few billion other people on our planet and that the Universe thinks they’re important too! :-)

Thanks Belinda!!

I’m with Brian – justice does seem a forgotten concept at times. We need more togetherness and less fracturing of people, of self-expression and of the planet.

Enough, indeed. Just get along, dammit!
We all share bones, skin, heart.

Without a doubt, we’re all human.
Let bygones be bygones… get along!

Have a Happy Six Word Friday

Enough! Lovely poem. How sad that we have come so far and yet injustice still lives?

Hey, Belinda in fair San Francisco!

I have had enough of me putting off my housework for a later time. Just one (or 10 more) lovely blogs to read, and I’ll get right on that tidying!!

You’re speaking my language here. Enough is enough. Yesterday’s post on one of my blogs focused on one example. Accepting your invitation to tell you about it, here is the link:

Aren’t You Mad Yet?”

Very well said! In my classroom I tell my students that we are all the same underneath the color of our skin.

I have had enough of the things you’ve listed – enough of negativity – enough of people choosing to live afraid of so much and differences over letting go and accepting others for who they are… and enough of not knowing how to help our kids…
And I have enough of so much… love, smiles, laughter, appreciation for nature, joy in the birds and wonder at the stars… and the delightful challenges that come with raising my daughter.
Have a great weekend Belinda

Excellent 55, addressing the outrageousness of the times. If only this bigotry could stop. I cringe at the senseless loss of young lives in the homophobia on our school campuses.

Hi! I’ve been reading you at Melissa’s Six Word Fridays for a few weeks, and today I decided to write a 55 flash fiction. But, I can’t figure out how to link there. Can you give me some hints?

Furthermore, I agree with your thoughts today, and am glad you are brave enough to put it out there.

YES. We can–must!–do better,
Teach our children to do better.
To be, to make, a difference.
The injustice we’ve seen cannot continue.

Yes, we are more alike than different, aren’t we? I think fear and misinformation fuels inequality, but that’s just my take.
As for me, I’ve had enough of mindless distractions. And, I have enough time for myself, when I look for it.
