That At-Home Feeling

4936900275_772a593430Fear stopped him.
That’s what everyone thought.
He could’ve had fame, fortune.
He was destined for success.
Nobody understood why he didn’t claim it
when most others could only dream.
He chose a different path.
Sometimes, he had doubts.
But everytime he wandered,
his heart would long for that feeling,
leading the way back home.

Do you ever long for that at-home feeling beyond the comforts of your physical home?

Belinda, lovely poem. Fame and fortune don’t get you there. I love feeling at home in my own skin, heart and life. xo

I may not be destined for greatness, but I know the feeling of wandering too far from the mountains and having to come back.

Gorgeous photo! Loved your 55. There really is no place like home — another cliche, but a good one :)

oh belinda – i liked this – and i know this feeling quite well…no place like home…and it doesn’t have to be an existing place – it’s finding home in your heart for me..

That’s why they say, “Home is where the heart is.”

Nice 55!

Beautiful pic – and love the story. It could evolve into so much more and yet it’s complete as is.

Really lovely. I think most of us search for “home” – in ourselves, in a place, in a sense of belonging.

Love this Belinda. Stunning words and great pic. Home is concrete and transient all at the same time.
