The Essence of a Mother’s Love

The havoc you wreak in her
mind
body
marrow
being
(Circadian rhythm,
not to mention)
couldn’t compete with the
joy
pride
honor
blessing
fulfillment
she receives
to tuck you everlasting
in her heart
and call
you
unabashedly
unreservedly
(possibly undeservedly)
definitely irrevocably
her
beloved
child.

I love this! Happy Mother’s Day Belinda. “Tucking them into my heart” does outweigh “the havoc they raise.” I always tell them, there’s nothing they could do that would make me not love them. Especially if I’m frustrated! My son (3) recently said he’d do what I asked when I’m happy again!

Hey Belinda,

Haven’t visited in awhile. You’re a wondrous poetress! Happy Child Day … Nice celebration of your daughter. Sweet image. G.

I couldn’t agree more! This is beautiful, Belinda. The most remarkable about being a Mom to me has been all that my children have taught (and continue to teach) me.
