He didn’t look the part. No matter. Cookie-cutter molding was not his focus. With boyish confidence and unpretentious grace, he went on stage. His words danced. His melody sparkled. He turned scowls into smiles; making magic with each note. He lifted everyone in song — thus, showing how good it could be to seize the moment.

Can you guess what new season of a show I’ve started watching? As usual, linking up with The G-Man for another Friday Flash 55.

love a good black sheep…the ones no one thinks…rock it out…
Cool ! Is it American Idol? If it’s the fifteen year old I am thinking of-he was great!
Yes, AI is the inspiration but no the character is fictional. I mostly wanted to depict a scene where we lose ourselves in the moment, negative self-talk silenced, and everything just works out.
Love it!
Looks can be so deceiving, and yet, how often we allow ourselves to make snap judgments based on someone or something considered less than the ideal… Love it when someone just knocks the socks off people like that.
I just love uniqueness, and the ones that leave a lasting impression!
Loved your story Belinda.
Most excellent 55….
You Rocked this one out!
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End…G
What a great comment from someone unique and leaves a lasting impression.
Nicely put-together 55, Belinda.
I’ll even forgive you for making it about American Idol (Worshipers).
Ha ha! I’ll tell you a secret. It’s one of two shows I’m currently watching. The other? Brothers & Sisters.
Hi Belinda,
I’ve got a suggestion on another show for you. Modern Family. It is great. Check it out and I’m sure you won’t regret it.
I hope you are well.
Best,
Bob
You make me want to be there to join in.
Ah, the proverbial flow. I love it, but I miss you at Six Word Fridays. I did an ode to hot yoga today. Check it out my yogini friend. xo
OMG I love American Idol and have never missed a season. I think this year will be the best yet. The judges and contestants are awesome. Love your way with words!
Great story! I did happen to see it, as I blogged my way through the show.
Now that’s a good one! It’s always great to be pleasantly surprised by one such showman… makes you wanna believe that genuine art and talent do exist after all!
Enjoyed this 55, my friend!! Very real!!
Rockin 55 !
